HOW TO GET A FAT HEAD

How To Get A “Fat Head”

“The simple way to get more sustain,

overtones and balance from any guitar…”

A FATHEAD is a simple idea that works on the principle that increasing the mass of a guitar’s headstock will increase the duration of string sustain The addition of FATHEAD effectively triples the mass at the headstock of any guitar or bass it’s attached to. We know what happens if we make the body thicker and heavier, as an example compare a Gibson Les Paul to an SG for sustain and tonal response. The heavier Les Paul has more sustain and a fuller tonal range because the body has twice the mass.

I gather that people are interested in Fatheads but do not know where to purchase. I am a dealer of fatheads and would be more than happy to help any one who may have a question or who would like to purchase one. I can be reached at my site at www.superiorguitar.com

The “Fathead” was a Groove Tube product, I KNOW because I used to work for them as Aspen Pittman’s first sales manger back in 1981-1982. I still have a “Fahead” laying around but I have never used it. I still use Groove Tubes for the amps however. You can get in touch with their company by calling (818)361-4500 or fax (818)365-9884 OR try www.groovetubes.com.

Hope this helps all the wonder and confusion for your readers!

Does anyone know if there is any difference in performance/sustain if I install the Fathead on the back or the front of my Les Paul (other than aesthetics, of course)?
