ERNIE BALL MUSIC MAN GOES TO THE GRAVITY GAMES ™

The NBC televised Gravity Games, held in Providence, Rhode Island on September 9-12, chose Ernie Ball Music Man ® to supply custom-painted guitars as grand prizes for radio station contests. The contests will be held in sixteen major markets promoting the event.

The Gravity Games, with an estimated four day attendance of 200,000 and an October television audience in the millions, chose Ernie Ball Music Man as the company's youth driven marketing complements the Games' multi-faceted festival. The festival includes a variety of alternative sports and lifestyle events ranging from music and fashion to food and film. The Ernie Ball interactive bus will also be on-sight giving players attending the Games an opportunity to test Ernie Ball Music Man guitars and basses and spin the "Big Wheel" for prizes.

The bus, recently outfitted with new graphics is fresh off a busy summer that included a three week tour visiting retailers from California to Nashville, FanFair, thirty-three stops on the Vans Warped Tour, and ten stops on the Watcha Tour.

The Gravity Games, a joint venture between NBC Sports Ventures and EMAP Petersen Inc., highlight seventeen alternative sports events with prize monies reaching $785,000 for various winners in the four-day competition. Events include men's and women's vert and street aggressive inline; dirt, street and vert bike; two-man and four-man downhill skateboarding; street luge; freestyle and team freestyle motocross; street and vert skateboarding; and men's and women's wakeboarding.

The Ernie Ball Company was the first to offer rock strings with the creation of Slinkys, and further revolutionized the market by offering guitarists Custom-Gauge single strings.
