NEW TAB SOFTWARE RELEASE - TABLEDIT 2.30
TablEdit is a program for creating, editing, printing and listening to
tablature and sheet music (standard notation) for guitar and other
fretted, stringed instruments. TablEdit can open/import ASCII, MIDI,
ABC, Bucket O' Tab, and Tabestry files, as well as files created by
earlier versions of TablEdit. Files can be saved in TablEdit format or
exported to ASCII, ABC or MIDI formats.
TablEdit version 2.30 has just been released, with many new features:
- TablEdit Version 2.30 exists in both 16 and 32 bit versions, ensuring
compatibility will Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, and
Windows 2000,
- New exclusive Fingerboard Window, allowing even more intuitive note
entry and visually illustrating picking patterns during playback.
- TablEdit supports now Drum tablatures. That's right, Drum TABS!
- Management of Renaissance and Baroque lute.
- Management of tablatures for violin with finger numbering.
- Import of tablatures in the Wayne Cripps TAB format (for lute).
- Register management for diatonic accordionists.
- Note display in the tablature as "a, b, c, ..." (French style TAB).
- Note display above the strings in the tablature.
- MIDI Bank change management.
- Exact vertical placement of text, chords and musical symbols.
- Printout of a summary of chords used.
- Management (saving for future use) of Custom tunings.
- Button to select all measures in the dialogue boxes having to do with
the editing of measures.
- New (more) musical symbols.
- New relative Speed feature. This allows Tabs with MIDI tempo events to
be slowed down or sped up for practice and review.
- Ability to print bitmapped logo in various ways.
- New "Bar numbers" option in "Print Setup"
- Expanded Chord Diagrams feature allowed for Chord Diagrams that can
span more that 5 frets.
- TablEdit now handles instruments from 3 to 12 courses of strings.
Opening up the possibilities for Steel Guitar and Lute players.
- New "Command..." button in tablature manager.
TablEdit Tablature Editor for guitar and other instruments
runs under Windows (3.1, 95, 98, and NT).
