NOTATION SOFTWARE "MusEdit" is an inexpensive yet powerful music notation program for Windows. It's been recommended by Acoustic Guitar (May 98, Sept 98), Fingerstyle Guitar (Jan/Feb 98), Gig Magazine (May 99), Electronic Musician (Oct 99) and other magazines. MusEdit is useful for guitar/bass players as it handles tablature (4-6 string) and can translate from treble to tab and vice versa, and also handles guitar chord diagrams (besides the built-in 8700 chord dictionary, you can also easily design chords for 4-6 string instruments, up to 7 frets, in any tuning). MusEdit also handles treble/bass keyboard notation, alto and tenor staffs, drum kit notation and lyrics in any font. Musical scores can be played back as audio or saved as a MIDI file, and MusEdit converts MIDI files to notation (tab or treble/bass) and accepts live MIDI input. In other words, MusEdit can be used for any music notation need. Also, MusEdit comes with an illustrated 170 pg. printed manual. MusEdit prints out scores which look similar quality to those you'd see in a magazine or transcription book, and it can also be used to create music for posting on a web site. A free "MusEdit Viewer" is available which will permit people to view, print, and do audio playback of any scores you post on your site. If this sounds interesting to you, please check out MusEdit's web site: www.musedit.com This site provides details about MusEdit's many features, a downloadble demo, a library of MusEdit scores, and more.
