RealNetworks basically got busted by a security consultant for secretly retrieving information from RealJukebox users' hard drives. As you'd expect, the news spread quickly. RealNetworks apologized and issued a patch to stop RealJukebox from gathering personal data and sending it back to RealNetworks. Not too many people have taken kindly to finding out that information such as how many songs they have on their hard disc and their favourite genres is being copied from their hard drive without their knowledge.
