Where do you clowns come from?

Got on this site thinking I could get some helpful advise on getting started with the guitar, however, all I discovered, aside from Steve A., is a bunch of immature douche bags hacking on eachother with stupid names like 'Bob the Nob' and calling eachother "cockhead". Do I have to go to Juilliard to get some halfway decent musical advise?
