: I'm into recent punk bands like blink 182, and alternative stuff like the chillipeppers. I'm getting a new amp soon, what suits my styles more, a fender princeton 65, crate gfx-65, or a marshall valvestate 65?

I don't think any of them are really great choices, but for the kinds of sounds you're going to want, I'd go with the Marshall Valvestate. I had one for a while. They do give you a pretty nice clean sound(for a Marshall,)and the shred is as close as either the next channel, or the gain knob. Anyway, it always looks cooler to have a Marshall than a Crate, you know what I mean? Fender makes some nice solid state stuff, but for me it is Fender tube or nothing.
