i have a chance to buy my friend's white mexican strat for a good price. i mainly play heavy metal along the lines of iced earth, iron maiden and megadeth. with some death metal/grindcore sometimes. if i replaced the stock single coils with two humbuckers can it get beefy sounding? i'm thinking of getting a dimarzio x2n at the bridge, and a dimarzio air norton at the neck. and some graph tech saddles and nut. maybe some sperzel locking tuners.
