: I just bought a guitar for my kid. I had seen this guitar and learning videos on tv. On the video it says to tighten the strings clockwise, from left to right. But on this guitar the tuners tighten by going counter clockwise, righ to left. Was this guitar put together wrong or strung wrong ?

The strings have probably been put on the wrong way (I don't think it makes too much difference though). It's not worth changing them around now, but when you get a new set of strings for it, string them the other way then.
