Re: The Major Scale

Hey there, as far as the major scale goes i will try and give you an easy understanding of ther scale but if you wish to know more please mail me.
The major scale is a collection of notes starting on the root and ending on the Octave. For instance like you said A major, you would play the scale starting on A and end on A the next octave up. I dont know fully what you would like to know but im just trying to help.
The first note of the scale is the root as ive mentioned. Im gonna use the key of C to make this easier. Each scale has a key of its own. The key tell you which notes are to be sharpened of flattened. The kay of C has no sharps or flats there for the scale of C major is C D E F G A B (C) the second C is known as the octave and from that point the scale just repeates itself. Just to let you know the key of A has 3 sharps, F C G.
