Hello to all:
My name is Manuel Romero, and I write you from Barcelona, because I have a
serious problem with two of my guitars.
It is a Fender Stratocaster with esperzel pegs and bridge Wilkinson -Gotoh -;
and a Squier-Fender Stratocaster with pegs and series bridge (Japanese).
Both are in perfect conservation state, and in two the same unheard and
surprising problem that is the following one happens:
When you acts down with the bar bridge, when returning that to their position,
the guitar has been out of tune completely. But the topic is that the tuning
ascends in all the strings, and even in some, until half tone (for example the
sixth string passed E to F). And, surprisingly, when making a simple bending in
each one of the strings these almost return to their correct tuning.
The two guitars have been revised properly and has not been possible to find
the cause of so
strange behavior. Everything seems to work properly. Pegs have been revised,
capo, bridge, etc... and everything seems to work well. Even in one of them the
pegs, the capo and the bridge were substituted, and the problem persists.
An experienced luthier of Barcelona confirms me to have seen this phenomenon in
some few guitars (of models also different) and it could never determine the
cause, and to proceed to the repair.
Are you certain this problem type? Which can the cause of so strange behavior
be? What solution does have?
