Re: Digitech RP2000

I purchased one. I compared it to the Boss GT-3 with my amp (Laney G50a) my electric guitar (Gibson ES347)and my accoustic guitar (Gurian). I lugged all this to the store and they were very patient as I tried to sort out these two very complex gizmos. I was looking for one thing that I could plug either instrument into. I especially wanted to be able to get a good accoustic sound with ever so slight chorus but my previous effects processor thinned the sound far too much. I found that the best accoustic sound came out of the Digitech presets in the store. Since I have had it a while, I have refined the sound even more and love it. The electric presets were not as good as the Boss while in the store, but the Digitech seemed much easier to program. By programming my own sounds I have found exactly what I want. The only dissappointment so far is the harmony mode. I wanted to be able to play solos using smart 3rd above or below harmonies. The propaganda said it would do it but the harmonized note wobbles about a quarter pitch and sounds very ugly. I need to find out if there is a way to fix this because this is one reason why I bought it. Anyone having any input on this please let me know. I am still deating whether or not to haul my gear in again and re-comparing. The store said that they might consider a swap for the Boss. I would only do this if I could get the good accoustic sound as well as the harmony feature and not loose on the electric sounds that I have programmed myself.
