I am also looking for an acoustic bass. I got the bug by playing a Godin in a music store. It
sounded like a stand-up, It was fretless with flatwound strings.It had the pre-amp on board so
it had the battery. I think they call the most popular one a fishman pickup. Before shelling out for
the price they want, I'm checking out Martin, and Tacoma. Tacoma is a nice looking instrument
but I want to find the Martin before I make a decission. The only thing I didn't like about the
Tacoma was the size of the neck. It was a little wide. Let me know what you've come up with
maybe it will help my search.
