Strobe tuning is where your guitar is adjusted to where an open high E, for example, will sound exactly the same as a fretted high E and a harmonic high E. What I mean is that none of the notes will be sharp or flat of each other. In other words, your guitar will be in tune with itself. A pro will adjust the saddles on your bridge forward or backward on all 6 strings to achieve this. All of your chords and notes will be in tune. Since it sounds like you have never had this done, strobe tuning would be a good investment. Ask around to see which guitar tech is good in your area.
