The Lace pickups in your '86 aren't original, as those didn't come out until the early 90's in Strats. They had an earlier version, for a year or two, that used three pushbuttons rather than a 5-way switch. The pickus were "scalloped" near the mounting screws, rather than flat all the way across, and weren't Lace pickups. Those were used as late as '87.
