If all you can afford is 150.00 check out your local costco wholesale and get a yamaha. probably work for you. however- nothing discourages new players more than a cheap guitar tearing your fingers apart. nothing give car-pol-tunnel more than a cheap instrument, especially a guitar which flesh meets steel
: Fender makes a pretty good acoustic for a beginner. I actually like the Rogue acoustic too. It's about 100 bucks, and I bought it to bring to college with me. It stays in tune pretty well and sounds ok. I think that's about all you'll get for 150.
