I had exactly the same problem with my Marshall VS100 combo. The problem eventually got worse to the point where it would just start cutting out for a second or so every so often.
Unfortunatley i don't know what the problem was as i traded it in problems and all for a different amp.

I'll speak to the people i traded it into and see how they fixed the problem
