Steve Erquiaga

“Among the many items on my site, I’m sure that the two Workshops would appealing to almost any guitarist.”

Although the concepts covered tend to lean towards the advanced level, they are clearly explained and include fingerings. (sorry, no tab)
Right now, 7/99, in Workshop 1 my arrangement for Ravel’s “Pavanne for a Dead Princess” appears with performance notes.
Workshop 2 covers fourth voicings, clusters voiced in fourths, a very cool concept for modal and jazz/fusion
comping.

Past & future articles:

  • Afro Cuban, Brazilian and other ethnic gtr styles
  • Improve,chord/scale relationships,minor blues, outside playing
  • Jazz gtr comping, various arrangements & compositions
  • & more

There’s lots of other stuff at my site as well, cool links,
    sound files etc.

Below is a short bio which my give you some kind of idea of who I am and what I do. Enjoy!

I purchased this CD over 30 years ago. I found it today in my dusty box of CDs and played it again for the first time in at least that long. I forgot how great it is, every track! I needed some new stuff to download to iTunes and this is great.
