It blows my mind that Kirk Hammet could be such a lousy guitar player. He should be thanking god that he’s backed by one of the best bands in the world. How is it possible, for a guy who was part of the 80’s guitar scene could have such lousy technique?? I’ve heard the idiot pay out of key solo’s countless times, always with the same repetitive licks…

When Im listening to Metallica songs, i come clear, that all part of Kirks solo is there, because IT MUST BE THERE. The solo combines maximum virtuosity with maximum creativity and harmonizing with the main subject of the song. Kirk is a guitar god. Not the only in the world, but in metal music surely HE IS the best.

First and foremost Kirk Hammett is classically trained and has enduced many new creative styles and nuances that are now apparent in many of today’s new guitarists. Moreover, if Kirk Hammett was not a noteworthy musician, Joe Sat would surely have never taken him under his wing. Finally, Kirk has added new flares to his style. Music changes and it is always wise to incorporate new forms of music into one’s playing, rather it be classical, blues, or funk. This helps to ensure that a stale style will be avoided. Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield should both be noted as guitar Gods! Peace-

I am a guitar teacher..There are a lot of great guitarists out there…. I had to laugh when i saw kirk hammet on the cover of GUITAR PLAYER MAGAZINE..OMG! WHY? Lately from what i hear ha has played everything he knows on a couple of cd’s..Thats why you will hear a wah wah pedal a lot more now. Because he ran out of things to play..Anyone with minimal experience on the guitar can pull off the solos that he does..I have figured out every solo that is thrown at me.. Why does metallica keep him? The singer plays way better solos than what kirk does. why why why..every solo that he does sounds the same just add a wah wah pedal to a fast pull off and you got a kirk hamett solo..I know satriani taught him..I always doubted the truth in that..IF he did take lessons from him he wasn’t a great student..well i am done here…hope someone sees this…email me at [email protected] …..don’t get me wrong metallica has some great songs but as far as kirk goes??????HE SUCKS SOOOOOO BAD…I’d rather hear the melodic sounds of one of the seven dwarfs in a blender. lol email me and let me know what you think???
