Other than the Hal Lenoard book ,there are no others in publication that I know of. I’ve Been playing Robin’s tunes for years now and found no other tabs on the net that are significant. I would, however, suggest the one published book. It will give you insight into the basic chord structures Robin uses most of the time and some of the patterns that make his music very unique. I’m about to dissect the solo for Daydream and I’ll let you know what I find if you’re interested.

      Good Luck,

      Hey,
Does anyone out there know of any official Robin Trower tab books? I don’t need Billy joe Bobs version. I’m looking for authentic tab. Please help. Hard to believe that one of the most influential guitarists of our era has no official tab books, yet we have a dozen by the Back Street Boys? Help. Thanx Robert Scott

  2. Robin Trower - A Victim Of The Fury
    Ron Love

By the time I "discovered" Robin Trower in 1980, he had already released his 8th solo album and had been performing professionally for 17 years, in the Paramounts and Procol Harum. I can’t really explain what made this music sting me so deep, but it was something about the blues influence in his music that made me yearn for more, and gave me a deeper appreciation of blues music and other blues musicians My first Trower album, "Victims Of The Fury", was an album rich with a rock/blues flavor. It was a combination of things, including the bass-heavy rock riff of Jack and Jill, the lonesome wail of his guitar on Roads To Freedom, and the fervent rock rythym of the title cut. Into The Flame, Ready For The Taking, and Fly Low were other songs that clearly displayed the diversity of this group. From that moment on, I was hooked and on my way to the "Bridge Of Sighs", his million copy best seller. I spent the next two years collecting all of his earlier releases and began following his career closely from that point on. Some would say that his heyday had already come and gone. What those critics fail to understand is that Robin and his band of musicians have continued to seek out new inspirations, try other creative avenues and not be limited in what musical direction to take next. The music that Robin has created over the past three decades is being rediscovered by a generation of new fans, who are quick to discover the blues-based rock music that has endeared Robin to a legion of loyal fans around the world. Check out Robin’s latest release, Go My Way, which is in stores now. There are several Trower web sites that are worthy of your consideration. In additon to the official web site Trowerpower.com, check out Steve’s Place, http://members.home.net/shail/mypage.htm , for a great in-depth look at the history of the Robin Trower band.

How does anyone reply to that very descriptive post from an obvious true Robin Trower fan? Listen to what Ron says and then go listen to a Robin Trower album. It doesen’t really matter at which point you join in. As with our friend here, Ron only found Robin and his diverse talents at the Victims Of The Fury stage I can promise you whatever album of Robin’s you hapen upon you will not be dissapointed.

    Brian Quinn

I’ve been a guitar fan for many years and have often been amazed that Robin Trower is given so little mention in the guitar press. Perhaps its because the writers simply aren’t familiar with his music. That’s a damn shame. Young guitarists are really missing out.

  4. Trower reissues
    Bob Harper

    Hi Cool site
I always liked Robin Trower since 1974 I’m 41 and I know whats good. I like to know if you got any info on Spitfire
reissues. I already got single Chrysalis versions I had to go though e-bay for a few months but I got up though Victims
of the Fury. I burned a Beyond the Mist Cd from Napster its not bad but I know an orginial would sound better. Believe
it or not my friend has a Sealed Beyond the mist Lp. I’m wondering how the spitfire ones will sound. Sometimes I think
the Bridge of Sighs remaster is up to par with the Mobile Fidelity Gold version when sometimes I can’t be sure.

If you want to know more about the singer/songwriter/guitarist Robin Trower check out the great web page by Steve Shail , Robin has been burning up the guitar, writing his own material and putting out soulful albums for close to forty years and is still making great music . Scott Sutherland’s page, the Trowerpower page and Gary’s unofficial Trower page are also excellent
