James Anthony

James is considered a “guitarist’s guitarist,” particularly after winning the Coca-Cola, Fender Guitar Warz in Toronto.In 1972 Pioneered Reggae music in Canada as guitarist with the Cougars TCB headed by Jay Douglas way before it was popular!!James has been honoured by the Mayor’s of Etobicoke, Kitchener and Cambridge for his musical charity work. He also won the Cable TV Producers Awards for best music show(The Midnite Hour) after 4 years at Rogers Cable. Equally at home on electric, acoustic, Dobro or finger-style, James has hosted guitar workshops and headlined at festivals including Canal Banks Shuffle in Thorold, Festival of Friends in Hamilton, Mill Race Folk Festival in Cambridge, Blues Brews and BBQs in Kitchener, Burlington Ribfest, Niagara Falls Blues In The Park, Windsor Bluesfest, London Bluesfest, Thunder Bay Blues Festival and the Harbourfront Blues Fest in Toronto. The summer pf 2005 will see James and the band appearing at all major blues festivals in Ontario, including Windsor and London Bluesfests, the Toronto Distillery Blues Festival, the Thunder Bay Blues Festival and the St. Catharines Rotary Ribfest.
