Mr. Axe’s Adventures!

This site was dedicated to an infamous Gremlin Starter-Edition guitar.

It was a funny site but it’s no longer available – but you can still join the discussion below.

      1. Hola gentlemen! I know this

Hola gentlemen! I know this is a little late but might as well provide info for others. I also have a Gremlin P-bass. The only thing I have found about it is it was made by a British guitar company that is no longer in business. They are a good beginner bass (I got mine when I was 12) but don’t expect it to be some rare treasure. They are notorious for low quality and mediocre sound, but some people say otherwise. I cringe seeing comments like “I picked it up for around $150” I got mine for like $40 probably around 2002, and have seen them for much less nowadays. In short, it’s not the best bass, and certainly not worth much, but it is playable and can easily be modified. Hope this helps!

I have a Gremlin Bass guitar. Im just wondering how much it is worth. I don’t even know how old it is. I got it at a pawn shop because I love playing bass. That was the cheapest i have found it only cost me $129 is that to much or not enough.

I bought a very very beginner’s gremlin bass guitar. the neck is about the same size as a regualr guitar. anyways, I would like to know what kind of value it might have. it plays well, but comes out of tune very easily when playing it. thanks. if you could e-mail me with something, send it to [email protected]

I have a Gremlin too. I don’t much about it. I got it used at Guitar Center for about $100. I love it. I’d like to know more about it, too. Please e-mail me if you find out anything interesting…

I just purchased one at a pawn shop for $50 . Bought it mainly to use at home recording studio. Did not want to spend big bucks as not going to be performing live at gigs with this. I wasn’t expecting much from the guitar. I have been pleasantly surprised at the play ability and sound of this short scale bass. The finger action is just fine and it sounds very good coming through the Yamaha Fifty 112 bass amp I also purchased at the pawn shop for $70. It met my needs just perfect.

I love my Gremlin Bass 3/4 scale and it has a nice tone and it stays in tune just fine. Good beginner bass. I paid $75 for it used from a girl who took a few lessons then stopped playing. I think these are from the late 90s through early 200’s, at least mine is. Best $75 I’ve spent on an instrument. Mainly a piano player so its been fun.
