Stolen Blue Warwick Corvette Proline Bass
I recently had my Warwick Corvette Proline bass stolen on November 6th 2006. It was ocean blue with gold knobs and tuners. It was stolen in Los Angeles, CA in the downtown area. Serial# H08677401 which can be found on the back of the head. It's really banged up from years of use and its not a common color for that type of bass. If you've seen it around, please let me know.

Stolen 1964 Fender Stratocaster.
I bought this guitar in 1964 when I was in my teens. It carries a lot of memories. It is a 1964 Fender Stratocaster that has been refinished in it's natural wood tone. The serial number is L17572. My Acoustic was stolen from my Franlkin home in May 2006. This guitar is a 1996 Taylor 714CE with a custom Grover "Drop D" Tuner on the low E string headstock. Serial Number 930201109. This guitar has the Fishman Electronics and has a 1 inch crack in the finish on the bottom "Side" of the guitar. This is on the lower side when in playing position. Concerning this Taylor Guitar. It has been located thanks to Mike's tip. The Serial number and year was originally listed incorrectly on this database to keep anyone from altering it. But, the guitar has been spotted and verified by positive Serial #. Thanks to Mike, this guitar has been located as being sold on Ebay in the last 3 months two times. Appropriate actions are being taken by the authorities.

Found the eBay listing. The eBay Auction Item number: 110139661006. It was being sold by eBay user ID:
burgejo. The seller listed his location as Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States. But, this guy is listing a 1999 moddel. The serial number also appears to end in ...24. Not sure if the sticker is real, but you could check the listing if you did not find your guitar. This guitar has mark in photos on the lower curve of guitar, and another one... You might want to look at the photos to see if this is your crack you spoke about, if so, then this might be it, not sure, probably not, but worth a look, who knows.

How many of these would you see on eBay? I saw one this week. It has gold tuners with a chrome D-Drop Grover. I play D tuning too, and thought, wow, that is not something you see too often, and I just bought a new 714ce. So, I was looking, and though, I should add one to mine. I think if you look up old/closed eBay listings you may find your guitar. I tried to look for the listing, but I did not save it to my eBay folder, and I think it closed last week. Good luck.

Our local Martin Guitar Rep had a number of high value Martin Guitars stolen from his car in San Francisco sometime last Tuesday night - Wednesday morning, 04/04-05/2006.
These were all new sales samples in ohsc, except 000-28 Norman Blake which is the property of Haight Ashbury Music Center, SF, CA.

70's Fender Strat, hard-tail
1970's FENDER STRAT, black, hard tail (no whammy bar), 3 bolt maple neck.
Identifying features 1) Fender decal on headstock scraped off, 2) picture of a guy playing bass glued to front of guitar body near neck pickup, 3) label "Robin Henkel 858 536-8944" on the back of the guitar.
70's Metal Dobro
1970's ? METAL BODY DOBRO serial # 550 5, roundneck, rather beat-up, lots of oxidation and some duct tape on one side of guitar body.
Identifying features 1) frets above 12th fret are removed, 2) black electric guitar pickup, 3) Hawaiian design on back, 4) label "Robin Henkel 858 536-8944" on the case.

STOLEN '72 GIBSON LES PAUL DELUXE GOLD TOP
My prized 1972 Les Paul Gold Top has been stolen.
It has the original black Gibson case, original owners manual in the case pocket, as well as a reciept from 1975. The previous owner had purchased the guitar from Starbird Music on Forest Ave. in Portland, Maine at that time. I am only the 3rd owner.
One distinquishing feature is the presence of a small, round white plastic cover in between the volume and tone knobs. There was a mini- switch that I removed and replaced with this plug.
It has 2 Seymour Duncan P-90's, and replacement tuners. They are of the original type (pearloid with chrome).
