Stolen 1962 Gretsch White Penguin

Posted by Phil Triantos on Mon, 07/04/05 - 12:34:51.

'62 Gretsch White Penguin stolen from Guernsey's 40 Years of Rock and Roll Auction, New York City, in 1995. Refinished in original white. All original hardware and TAGS. Non original, too big, black plastic form fit acoustic guitar case from England. Serial number 42012. It was seen by a major NYC collector/dealer on 48th Street while "a big, ugly biker dude was trying to sell it. It was even in the same case". Thanks for not calling the police or letting me know in a timely manner, Lou.
I'd like to have my guitar returned to me with all of it's original tags some day. The sooner, the better. It's only been 10 years of scouring the guitar shows, asking people and posting to stolen guitar sites. Hopefully SOMEONE knows about it, it's whereabouts, has seen it, will see it and would be kind enough to let me know.
Thanks.

Stolen 1962 Gretsch White Penguin #42012

Hello.
Thanks for looking. I'm STILL trying to locate my stolen 1962 Gretsch White Penguin #42012 that was stolen from Guernsey's Auctions in NYC after their failed 40th Anniversary of Rock auction back around 1994-95. Reliable sources tell me a collector in California owns it, knows it's stolen and is secreting it away. No worries, I'll find it/YOU one day and will completely ruin your day, sooner or later. I WILL press charges or, at the very least, if I see it at a show or somewhere, I will just kick your ass and take it.
I'm now the US Operations Manager/Distributor/Artist Relations of Maxwatt Amplifiers, which will soon regain it's proper name in the US and that name begins with an H. High WHAT ????
If you know the whereabouts of my Penguin and would like to contact me, call me on (312) 450-7711 in Chicago or e-mail me at [email protected]
A thank you and kind regards sure beats a good beating, doesn't it?
Many thanks in advance.
Phil
