I just want to say I am glad I found you.I bought a Warmoth Tele neck $175.00 and was very bummed when I got it.First, they have hardly any options And they must of looked for some junky Quik growth maple to pawn off on me, The lefty.Even after I told them I was maken a 52 Relic Tele. It looks like a Candy Cane, It didnt take any color very well. I will Never buy from them again..I think I have found a new home. Thanks Mr.H

I purchased a telecaster from Bernie Hefner , it was a custom order that I waited the standard 14 weeks for. The guitar was finished on time when i got the call i decided to drive to pick it up so i could get some instructions on how to assemble it, since it was my first time. Bernie thought this was a good idea and said he’s be happy to help.
I drove 3 hours to pick it up in morning rush hour traffic, so I could have at least 15 minutes of the mans time to ask him a few questions about assembly. When I arrived he rushed me out the door in less than 5 minutes telling me he had to take his brother to the airport. Now after driving 3 hours and he knew i was coming I have to tell you this really pissed me off straight away!
I was a nervous about placing the bridge in the proper spot and he was useless in helping me. Funny warmouth and every other guitar builder doing fender style guitars pre drills the bridge holes so there is no room for error, Beware Not Bernie!!!!!!!!!
If you drill these holes just a little off you will never be able to intonate your guitar. Wich almost happend to me. Also the control cavity for the volune and tone controls did not line up at all with the pick guard the cavity was not straight you could clearly see this by looking at it , it ran off on a slight angle which made installing the controls a real bitch, now time to find a luthier and get out the dremel tool. Well bernie did tell me i would have to fight with it a little and everything would not just snap into place , well he sure told the truth about that! Funny a friend of mine built a warmouth and it just snapped into place like a lego set. This is what happens when you pre drill and cut cavities correctly and pre fit your hardware to test it all fits before you give it to a customer.
I took the guitar to a trusted luthier to try and straighten out the control cavity. He called me today to tell me it wont ever fit the way it’s suppose to he said i will have to compromise. Funny thats not a word i heard bernie use when i first called him considering having him build me an instrument. I remember the words I build them perfect better than the custom shop! Maybe he was talking about some other custom shop in korea perhaps.
Now this was the price i payed to have laquer paint as opposed to poly. None of the other builders i talked to shot laquer. I have still not gotten the guitar back from my luthier so i still don’t know how all this will turn out, I’m hoping Hefners fret job is better than his routing job. And he used a level. I know mistakes happen maybe he was drunk when he routed out the control cavity or terrorist screwed with his router and sabotaged it.
Maybe when its all said and done i’ll have a good guitar, but I had to write this to warn all of you considering handing over your cash to someone claiming to make guitars just the way leo fender did in the good old days! Talk is cheap. any can tell you how great they are over the phone.

hi i was wondering if anyone knows anyone who has built a tele or a strat. i have a strat with messed up wiring and i have a tele witha broken neck. i wanted to change my strat to a tele , my own "custom" design. i thik it would be neat and hopefully it will sound good. i will be makinga diamond plate pickguard which will surround the bridge in order to cover all the holes a cavities in the strat body. and im changing the neck to a reversable headstock for a strat. tell me what u think, and any good suggestions, peace Timothy

I NEED A NECK FOR A FENDER AND PEAKS
hi, i am looking for a maple strat replacement neck with 50’s vintage radius, fretted, finished, with nut, ready to bolt on. i would appreciate an email if you have one for sale. ( i have a hollybody strat edenhaus purchase a few years ago from jam music in villa park )
