Hey whats Up Thanks for all the great music you have put out there its great ear candy.I have a old Soloest and all though I feel married to it I was looking into maybe buying a wolfgang its a whole other world but its faster but I dont think that I connect as good. I have been playing this same axe 11 years, and for a long time I swore I would never turn My back on my jackson she always been good to me, then I started thinkin that ther aint nuttin wrong with change. I guess My ? is does the change from the thicker neck and wider frets to that almost telecaster 1/2 strat neck gonna mess me up in the long run or is it in someway to my advantege. let me know what you think. Thanks When are you going on tour again I never got to see you guys in concert sure would like to I live in chicago IL. Thanks again Have a great year. Jim over and out.

I have purchased a model 5 Jackson/charvel, 24 fret neck through body and was looking for some input on it. Plays great but I don’t know the year, serial no.C607969. Would appreciate any info, what it might be worth. Anything.

Charvel neck-thrus are the best guitars ever to come out of Japan. I know this is a little late, but to anyone out there looking for a model 5 or 6 they are the best value guitars you will ever see. They went for over $1000 in the 80’s, now you can get them for much much less ($300-500). They compare with new Soloists and kick the crap out of ESP LTD neck-thrus. I own model 5 w/EMG 81,85, and a Kahler trem, and another model 5 with a Floyd Rose. I love them both, i spend more time playing my Charvels than eating or sleeping.

Since I have two, I really don’t need one of them so if anyone is interested in a metallic blue Model 5, i am selling the one with the Floyd for $400 with the case (I prefer the Kahler trem, i know i am the minority here). It has active electronics, Duncan pickups, almost no fretwear and is in excellent condition for its age (1987?). Near mint. Email me [email protected] if you’re interested and want pictures.
