Hi, I have this Ric and it’s documentation. It’s as new. I bought it in 1990 and have stored it ever since. It’s been played once, for a few minutes by the dealer I bought it from….had to hear it!

It’s in the original shipping box. I’ve been considering putting it up on ebay. If you’re still interested contact me at this email.

about 4 or five years ago the Rogue guitar company issued a line of
guitars that were Rickenbacker replicas, they looked like Beatle guitars. I was wondering if anyone had an idea where to find one.

Relative to your aged request about the Rouge Rickenbacker copies. I too was looking to purchase one of the Rick copies…the 12 string. I e-mailed Musician Friend, reference to availability. I was informed that they could no longer sell these guitars for copyright infringements.

I later found one (unknown if it is a Rogue) on E-bay. There were 2 infact. One 325, and one 360 copy. After I placed a bid on the guitar, I received an e-mail from John C. Hall, CEO of Rickenbacker International, who stated that he was going to send the U.S. Marshal’s to arrest me on copyright infringements, and obtain further injunctions against selling unauthorized copies of their products.

By the way, I really love the 325 copy I now own. It plays well, sounds great through a vintage Vox amp. And never saw anyone from the U.S. Marshal’s Service! Later talked with a former representative of Ric International, who said that Mr. Hall was known to tipple quite a bit, and would go searching for violations of his copyrights.

        1. Inaccurate information
          John Hall

          There’s some serious misinformation here.

          A. There’s no copyright issue here. This is all in the realm of trademarks, for which we have many associated with the shapes of our guitar bodies, heads, pickups, logo plates, and some other details.

          B. Enforcement, which we are required to do by current precedent, certain does not involve the U.S. Marshall or any law enforcement agency. It’s entirely a civil matter, handled by lawyers and the federal court.

          C. I don’t drink . . . and it’s generally up to staff and our legal team to be diligent regarding infringement issues. I usually only hear about it after the fact and then only if there’s something beyong usual procedure or scope.

Please refrain from fiction and further defamatory comments.

Hi Bianca, I have a Rickenbacker 325/12 V63 in Jetglo (black with white scratchplate). Only 136 of these were ever made in 1999. They are a Limited Edition to celebrate a one off custom model John Lennon ordered in ’63 from Rickenbacker. The serial no. of mine is 99-52976. Interested?

      1. Re: Rickenbacker 325 12 String
        Andy Handler

        Hey Paul Miller,
It’s a pleasure for me to be talking to a Rickenbacker 325/12 owner. Anyways, my names Andy I just turned 14 a couple of months ago, i live just out side of Toronto and I consider my self to be a huge Beatles/Lennon fan. I’ve been playing guitar for about 1 and a half now, but i’ve been dreaming to learn how to play guitar since i’ve been 9. I’ve been a Beatles fan for almost my whole life and probally will be for the rest of my life. Ever since the age of 9 i’ve said to my self that i’m going to be just like John when i grow up. So i started to save up to get John’s Rickenbacker 325/12. I want the 12 string because of a picture that i saw of John with it, he was sitting on a couch and litely sturmming it. I dont know why that picture means so much to me but i guess what its saying is that John was just a normal, loveing guy who never became a Beatle for the "Fame and Fortune" but cause it was fun and he enjoyed entertaining people. I got that picture right above me bed and every night i look at it and prey that, that will be me some day. Now as you know a Rickenbacker 325/12 is extreamly hard to get. I saw one on ebay a year or so ago and bidded and bidded on it, my final offer was $2900, it looked like i was going to win the auction but in the last moment I got out bidded. It broke my heart. I cried and cried, searching on the internet to find another one and then just a few days ago i found this website and read that you have the legendary 325/12. I jumped for joy untill i noticed that it was a reply e-mail to this girl called Bianca Ferraioli. So this is why im writting to you today, I hope that you still have that 325/12. I’m prepared to pay anything "ANYTHING" you want just to get that guitar. I dont want the 350/12 because first of all John never played one so it would feel like i’m cheating John and secondly i prefer short scale models because of my small hands. Please, Please still have the 325/12 you’ll make my that happiest kid alive. Thank you for your time and hope you’ll wright back soon. Please Please Please!!! P.s. Sorry i’m not a very good speller. Gramers never been my strongest subject. Sencirly, Andy

  8. Rickenbacker 3/4
    Ron

I have a Rickenbacker, 3/4 size, red, double pickup, solid body, with original Ric neck strap and case that my family purchased new in about 1964. The only markings I can find are "CL" and "28" on the bridge and "Deluxed" on the tuning knobs. It may be a model 950?

I am having great difficulty trying to determine exactly what it is, what it is worth and where I might be able to sell it.

    Please help. Thanks.

  10. New 325C replicas
    Bob Helf

Hi, Would like to know if anybody out there has scrutinized the new Rick offering – The 325Cs? I’m about as fussy as anyone out there about the exactness of what Rickenbacker says they have done with this EXACT replica of John’s grail. I’ve designed and built a replica myself to the exact specs of Larry Wassgren’s Autumnglow ’58. If you question this, just ask him. I sold it to him last 2 years ago. I see they are using the crappy Sta-tite replicas. I wonder about the Kauffman and bridge units. The headstock finally looks to shape but can’t really tell from the web picture on their site. Long jackplate also looks in the right place but can’t really see too well of its position. I doubt if the sound is right. Each toaster should put out around 4 ohms of power. That’s it.
Please advise and we can chat more. This has been a LONG awaited project by many, many people in Beatleworld. Let’s chat
    Thanx very much!!
