Camelot Guitars

Camelot has produced an awesome sounding guitar with some of the best specs. We have just put out a Limited Edition Signature series guitar with Jeff Blando. Check out our website to see just how beautiful these guitars are.

One of my Congregants has the above Camelot Classical Guitar Model Number: C103N – 46-803 Made in Japan. She wishes to sell the guitar but we are not sure of the value. It has never been used – purchased about 50 years ago. The only thing I can see on it is I need to restring. Can you let me know the value?

    Thanks!

I have a K series by Camelot that I found in a shop in the UK and bought for £200 = about $300.

It’s an incredibly good guitar and seriously rocks.

I would also like to find the specs – did see the Camelot website early on with the specs, but never copied it down!

All I can recall for certain is ebony fretboard and Semour Duncan pickups plus authentic Floyd rose.

Have a memory that the woods were really high quality (maple neck?), but sorry to say, can’t remember for sure.

Like you, if anyone can shed light, it would be very much appreciated!

  3. Looking for info on Camelot Guitars
    Franz

I just acquired a gold flecked guitar with a FR term built by Camelot Guitars. It has a birdseye maple neck and fret board. I cannot find anything on this company. I would love to know what the body is made of and any details on this line of guitars. The only thing I know is that they were around only a few years in Florida in the early 2000’s. Apparently, the luthier had made guitars for an 80’s rocker (can’t remember his name). I found the designer that did their brochures, but she wouldn’t give me a copy 🙁

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!!!
    Peace

Hi my name is Matt brooks. I stumbled across your post, as I was searching for anything on my old guitar company to show my wife. I was the designer/ luthier at Camelot. We were a very small operation working out of a small shop on Virginia ave in Orlando fl in 2002-2004. This was started as a project between myself, the other builder, and the owner. The bodies, which had a very unique design, were made from basswood and sometimes alder. The necks were Birdseye maple with different fretboards, sometimes rosewood, some maple. Each guitar was slightly different. We experimented with different paint jobs, and left some natural, only clear coating them. We used all high end parts from the Floyd to the Duncan pickups, even the nut was graphite and hand cut. What you have is a prototype that I hand built. We never made it to full production. Rocker Jeff blando came aboard briefly but only for publicity reasons. The owner was a bit of a shiester and never really had a good business plan. We built from scratch a good quality guitar but he never delivered on sales. He wound up owing both of us quite a bit of loot, and the company disbanded. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

Hi, Matt! I have a Camelot Guitar that I received as a “sponsorship” I would say about 12 years ago already. I know nothing about it. I was wondering if I could get an email address from you as I have some technical questions about it. It would mean a lot to me if you could since I’ve used this guitar for many years. My deepest thanks in advance.
