Gary Levinson began repairing Guitars in 1964. Utilizing his multiple university degrees in applied and natural sciences. Levinson approaches guitar building from an analytical standpoint. Inherent resonant frequencies of woods, innovative electronics and the tonal effect of hardware designs are important factors in his concept development. Equally as important is the role of “metaphysics” – or magic. Exhaustive research goes into those exclusive components that make a great guitar feel and sound right to a player.
In 1977 he opened his workshop in Switzerland. Early in 1982 he set the groundwork for the Blade guitar line with a series of prototypes utilizing innovative pickup systems and the position-determined-profile neck. January 1987 the alliance was forged with manufacturing partners to launch the Blade programm on a worldwide scale.
By 1990 Blade had become the best selling custom high-end guitar in Europe and received endorsements from many of the world’s finest players.

Have a beautiful r3 standard blade that i’ve had for as long as i’ve been married, which is ten years now. we’re expecting another baby soon and could use extra cash. having a hard time parting with it but have a couple other guitars and think it is finally time. I have a Blade RH-3 in Midnight Sunburst. This model was built around 1990-1994, it has the VSC on board electronics, a Falcon tremolo and Sperzel tuners. The body is of maple wood, the neck is maple and ebony. I’m selling some of my guitars, and I was wondering what one of these usually go for? Are they hard to find?

Hello!
I saw your post on the internet and thought I’d let you know that I’ve got an ultra-rare Blade JML-3 for sale. Only a few hundred were made. It’s a mustang/jaguar body style and is absolutely gorgeous. All custom Levinson electronics, sperzel locking tuners (1 locking screw is missing, but is easily replaceable), balanced tremelo system, etc… The coolest thing is the finish. It fades from ocean blue to aqua green, has a clear blue pickguard, white pickups and glow-in-the-dark volume and tone controls. I don’t have any pix, unfortunately, but believe me, it’s one of the coolest and most versatile guitars you’ve ever seen.
I have a pretty large collection and I’m forced to unload a few of them.
Let me know if you’re interested. There is a small ding on the bottom of the guitar (it was that way when I bought it), but is located in a place where it’s not visible to anyone. It was recently appraised for $1,500 pounds (a little over $2,000 US), but I’ll take any reasonable offer.

Yeah – I’d like some more welly in mine – al;so the switch and pots are all noisy. I have a california series blade guitar. It is made by Gary Levinson. I would like to know if its a good guitar , and how much its worth.
that guitar is one of the best i have ever seen . Way better than a Fender stratocaster , and even better than alot of the gibsons . It has awsome distortions and cleans.
