Re: Maton Slide guitar
Hi! Patrick regarding your old silvertone lap steel guitar. Firstly its pretty old, but the Maton company made two different six string single neck models at different times, I dont know which one you have. As for what its worth, that depends entirely on the condition. I have two, one of the first series made in the 50's, in original case, and in very good condition. I have seen one like it advertised for over a grand. The second one I have is the later one, made in the early 60's, I have seen several for sale over the past 15years, in top condition with case, they fetch 2 to 500 dollars. Hope this info might be of some help:
: We have an old looking Maton Silvertone Slide guitar in really good condition. We tried the Maton history site to get some information but the page is blank. Do you have any information regarding how old it might be and what it might be worth. Thanks, Patrick Sheehan
