To everyone out there looking for pure tone (as cliche as that sounds) this is it. I met Robert at the Dallas International Guitar show this spring (’06) after hearing about his amplifiers from a friend (the all that and a bag of chips type reference). As a luthier who concentrates on the physical workings of the instrument in order to create an instrument that can perform to its fullest potential, I was skeptical of the reference (nothing could really be that good). I was dead wrong. These are the real deal. The signal path is short and sweet, the components are utilized to their fullest potential, every single detail that could possibly have an effect on the tone is considered and done to the max. These things are amazing. Do whatever you can to just hear one and you’ll be amazed. I was going to sell my beloved strat because it just wasn’t giving me what I wanted. I played it through a Palette amplifier and changed my mind. It is exactly the guitar I’ve been looking for! I just couldn’t hear it because I didn’t have an amp that reproduces what it’s trying to sing. I have several amplifiers (all tube and some vintage) and I am selling all of them. I just don’t need them anymore. This is the ultimate. Period.
