I have a three-quarter size spanish/classical guitar which I have just been playing. It was given to me as a brthday present when I reached 11 years of age. I still play it regularly for my own relaxation and have spent some time as a professional guitarist and bass-player. All started off by the quality and ease of playing of this instrument.
It is quite plain but still holds it’s tune well. It has the name MARIZZA ‘branded’ on the front.
The first tune I learnt was ‘Living Doll’ by Cliff Richard. Oh! I forgot to mention – I am now 58 years old, so it has been a good and reliable companion for quite a while.
I do not imagine it is one of your own but you may have some idea of where and when it was made? I am not really sure whether it is Italian or Spanish?
I thought I would enter the name, out of idle curiosity, and was amazed at the number of hits Google managed to find.
I am too old to check out the others, so please let me know if you have any ideas about the history of this beautiful instrument.
