: get a copy of the Real Book and a copy of one of those old mel bay 4 note chord encyclopedias. then play through a bunch of songs that you kind of know, trying each of mel's chord suggestions until you find a few dozen voicings that appeal to you.

Funny thing, I traded in a Guild -D25 M at guitar center a couple of years ago. I had a Fishman pickup mounted in the bridge, since I bought the guitar back in the days before acoustic electrics. I am curious as to where you got the guitar. I can tell you that I brought the cherry red Guild in 1981 for $500.00, and I understand that they do not make them anymore. To be quite honest, I do not think that they appreciate much in value.

Not sure about the value. But, I own one that is in very good condition. I'm currently repairing the pickup selector switch. It sounds great through my Fender Bassman 10.

I have one just like it. Awhile ago, perhaps a year or so, a local music store offered me $150 trade-in for it. I was looking for a nice Fender bass. I think I could have gotten more for it, but one pickup doesn't work.
