washburn ace frehley guitar

i would like to hear from someone who owns an Ace Frehley Washburn AF-40v,how good is the wonderbar tremolo and where i can get one.

I have two ace Frehley AF-40's..one silverbolt & one redbolt. The wonderbars are great! They have one that fits on aLes Paul and ace used it on his solo days post 82..When you look on the undewrside of the wonder bar it was stamped "The Answer" give washburn acall they may be able to find on iether in chrome or black......

I've owned my black/red AF-40V since it was first released. I enjoy it, but was disappointed with the light wood and lack of sustain. The wonderbar is good, if you are into bars. I'm not. The locking nut keeps this beast in tune very well.

I have a wonder bar on my tele deluxe and it works great. It is really accurate and with the lock nut keeps in tune perfectly.
I am writing beacuse I am also looking for the tromolo bar in chrome. If you happen to run into one In your search for the whole unit, please let me know.

Either one. It doesn't matter. If you have a cool progression already try feeling the mood of the song and develop some lyrics accordingly. Or, if you have some lyrics written, slap a good progression on it.

I find it easier to start with chord progressions first.Since the chord tones usually dictate whats going to happen in the tune anyway.When I put the chords down first,a melody jumps out at me sooner or later.Wrote a tune based on one line.Took me 36hrs. to lay it down(verses,bridge,hooks,rythyms).But thats just me.Some people are better at lyrics/melodies than others.

Either way. I usually end up singing some nonense over a riff to get some meter going. Keep notebooks of cool phrases or verses. Sometimes you can patch words to riffs using your "archives".

It depends on what inspires me. I have written several songs and it's always the music or chords which seem to come out of my head first. In fact, I have no words to any of these tunes.

Im in a punk/Oi band, and we wanted our own style of playing, well we picked up another guitarist (why i dont know) and i have had to do lead, i have been playing 2 Yrs. (dont give me the crap about im not good enough or havent been playing long enough, because im very determined) but I have a problem in soloing, i have used all the advice above about learning others songs, its kind of worked i know the pentatonic scale but dont know what the hell is Aeolian mode, it sounds like it could fix my problem from the way Rick described it, someone please help me, gimme sites, tips something. thanx, Later

If it's Rosewood,it's an oily wood. Don't bother. If it's Ebony,oil won't penetrate it. If it's Maple,you'll rot it. BTW, why do you want to oil it????????

Would you take the risk to put both your guitars (strat & tele) in a double gig-bag? Or is it safer in 2 separate hard-cases? I'm looking for a way to reduce car-space, but I am afraid that they are much more vulnerable. (you know how it goes on the road...)

to get humbucking on a strat with 3 singlecoils I need to reverse the polarity of the middle pickup so it humbucks with one of the others.... HOW do I reverse the polarity of the single coil pickup?

the middle pickup on a strat is wired to be out of phase with the bridge or neck pickups in possitions 2 & 4 on the 5 position switch, giving some bucking effect.

I have got 4 different guitareffects-pedals, each from a different brand, size and adaptors. (zoom 505, Martin Hot Drive'n Boost, Cry Baby Wah and Roland tunerpedal). How can I link them together into a practical, small unit? Can I make it myself?

best plan is to build a pedal board, lay your pedals out on a piece of card, position them the way you want, at this stage its a good idea to invest in a good quality power supply unit, guitar shops or electrical diy stores can advise you on that.
then cut the card to the right size, get your local timber store to cut you a bit of 3/4" ply wood the same size, a coat of mat black paint makes it look nicer, you then need to attach the pedals to the board, double sided tape, or sticky back velcro are best, connect the pedals up with patch leads, wire in the power supply, done.

yep they are fucking amzing guitars. i just bought the jerry horton signiture modle the guitarest from papa roach it kicks ass man it plays like dream. try the c-1 their the best out of the diammond serries they are good value and just play so sweet dude if you wanna get a guitar get a schecter.

Cooder uses lots of different tunings, open tunings, in g, e, a, and dadgad and standard, and modal you name it.

i have a BC rich warlock guitar and a DOD Death Metal Distortion pedal and i heard there is a way to hook the guitar and pedal to your pc with a special adapter to let you record with Cakewalk pro audio 9 that i have.
