My old Tubescreamer TS9 is dead.
It works ok in bypass-mode but when ON I cannot get any signal through.
Is there anyone who can help me with advice of how to repair it.

I have searched high and low for the gold sparkle trim material that Gretsch used on their white falcons guitars.
I can't believe that someone out there doesn't know the where-abouts of some of that material.
The material was originally used as drum covering material(and still is as I understand).
I have been able to aquire a similar material, but it is more copper in color than gold.
I need to do some repair to my guitar, and I need an exact match.
Can anyone help?

I had a similar problem a while ago on my Ibanez acoustic. urned out after a string swop and several weeks of frustration that one of the machine heads had a loose capstan key ( the nut that you hold onto when you tune the guitar - the handle ), and all I had to do was replace the machine head, which luckily was of the single unit type. While I was waiting for the replacement, I simply wound a rubber band around the loose handle, and all the vibrations stopped ! I din't know if this will help, but I can remember the intense frustation trying to find an odd noise on an otherwise healthy guitar!!

I play electric guitar from three years..
I can play scales very fast...but i have many problem playing the solos...
I would ask to you how i can search some scales to make instead of the solos in the songs...
for example: I could play the rythmic part of the metallica's song " motorbreath" but i can't make the solo.I heard that the solos of the metallica album "kill'em all" are only some pentatonic scales..but how i can found that scale?
In motorbreath during the solo the rythmic guitar make this riff:

I consider this powerchords as C# and G# major chords..
I search a scale that fits in this 2 chords and i found a large list of scales as:C#maj,C#maj bebop,c#dominant bebop,C phrigian,Ebem Dorian..and lots more,but none pentatonic.
My questions are:
How i can consider powerchords?(like normal major chords?)
To solo i can simply make one of the scales that i found..but wath's the best to use?
How i can use a pentatonic scale over a lot of powerchords?
And definitely..How i can find scales that fits over riffs composed by a lot of powerchords?
