Could someone please tell me which band does "Glycerine"?All this time I wuz thinkin' it wuz Nirvana,but it's not!!Is it "BUSH"?Help!!Also,could someone tell me if KISS uses standard tuning or whut?I've been catchin' on to alotta songs lately(like Glycerine),but whut I really want to play is "RockBottom"by KISS(tha intro kix azz)but I can't seem to match it?Can anyone help?Thanx!

Glycerine is done by Bush AND the Kiss songs I play are all standard tuning.

Has anybody heard of the Fender issue of the Jaco Pastorius Jass Bass? I was told that they existed but I am having no luck finding one or any info.

Yes, the Jaco Pastorius Jazz Basses DO exist. You will not find them in any store though. At least I have never seen one in any store I've ever been in(even the major chains). They must be ordered.

Kramer pedals

Hello,
Does anybody know is Kramer's new line of effects pedals are any good? I bought a Kramer Nightrider guitar half a year ago and it's probably the best $300 I've ever spent in terms of musical equipment; its performance beats most guitars twice the price.

Anyways, I am interested in knowing any opinions you guys have of the new Kramer pedals. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

i wanted to buy a gibson and i know the kalamazoo ones are better made. they have a 0 or 1 or something at the 5th digit of the number- is that fivth from right or left?

I've been playing for about 2 years on and off. Depending on what guitar you want to buy ()electric/acoustic) I wouldn't go nuts with the price. Just get something affordable. At the end of the day the guitar requres practice, once you have learned a few of the basic chords and maybe some scales aswell, you'll be playing and enjoying a lot of songs, and then you can decide from there if you would like to learn further and buy a better guitar. If you practice for about a half hour a day, after a year you wll have learnt a nice bit a musical education which will hopefully leave you hungry for more. My first guitar was a cheap superstore guitar, nylon strung, and I had the for 8 months until I thought it time to get a quality steel strung guitar. Now I also have a Fender Stratocaster and I just can't stop the buzz of picking up and playing... good luck and joy buddy.

Start with something affordable. A $3000 Les Paul will sound like a $30 cheapie if you can't play. Look for quality however because if the guitar bug really bites you then your poor old beginer axe will need to take a lot of punishment. I would personally recomend either a Squire Strat or Yamaha Pacifica 112. Both of these guitars are great quility, will take a beating and sound pretty good for the money. Remember that you will probably play your first gig in a few years with the guitar you are about to buy. Good luck and happy shopping.

Replacing tubes

I just bought a Laney VH100R. I want to replace the output tubes from 5881's to EL34's. Is putting new tubes in an amp as simple as pulling the old ones out and popping the new ones in? Or is their more technical stuff to it?

i,ve heard so many different stories about gibson sg,s are they any good?( with regards to tone, playability ect.....)i,ve also heard the older the better?? there are so many versions, does anybody have any thoughts as to which is decent and which is not if so i,d be grateful for some info. thanks in advance

I got that from an ad in a guitar magazine a couple years ago. It was $17.95. I was looking to see if they had a web site when I saw your question and I haven't found one yet. So you might try calling information.

Floyd-Rose Tremolo Arm Bushing

Hi all,
I recently purchased an Ibanez with a Floyd Rose Single Locking Tremolo, and I am having a nightmare with the tremolo arm bushing. It is a 2 piece nut type assembly that the company suggests will allow finger tip adjustment. Bull!!! I can't keep this darn thing tight to save my life. I know on the double locking models this is not an issue (now I find out!!!). Is there any type of aftermarket fix for this or am I faced with thread locker or even worse, welding this thing to the base plate. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Help? I'm tring to wire in 1 Humbucker style pick-up,
but no matter what type of P/U I use it sounds thin,
almost "out-of-faze" and there are no other P/U in the guitar. Help also on what value capacitor(s) to use
in this circut.

Problems with acoustic Washburns?

Hey all, I just have two quick questions.
1) has anyone had any trouble with there acoustic washburn. I just baught one brand spankin new, and to my dismay took home a bowed neck. I talked to a sales man at another music shop and he told me that I shouldnt have baught a washburn. Anyone have any feed on this?
2) how does the Abilene acoustic compare to the Washburn. ANY opinions are will be considered. Thanks for your time!

Jim Dunlop Wah , Having some problems.....

I own a Jim Dunlop cry baby (model GCB-95). I play a shitty squier strat and I also play with a boss Ds1. I plug an adaptor into the wah, and I use a battery for the DS-1 . My problem is that the wah sounds shite sometimes. When I play high notes it sounds weak, unlike pros who use a Jim Dunlop and it sounds realy strong wah,(Morello,Hammet,Slash)Im wondering is my 2 week old Dunlop fucked, or is it the rest of my equipment. It sounds alright sometimes,just not like the pros.Does a good guitar/amp give the wah a better sound? If so, what kind of guitar/amp? Thanks.

Hmm.The DS-1 tends to be kinda shrill and dry.I had one...didn't like it.Whats your setup?Try Wah 1st,dist.
2nd.I personally like the Boss OD-3.Or maybe you just got a bad Wah.

Pricing my amp

I just bought a bass amp from this guy for $250. It's a Peavey TNT 150 scorpion equipped. Chorus, equalizers, the works.It was made in 1989 and it's like new. The guy said he rarely used it. Can someone give me an accurate price of what this amp is really worth and if I got a good deal.

Unless you're playing thrash, I would stick with the
stock pickup. Just about any gibson is a good axe.
