Fender Trem-Setter Ajustment

I have just bought a really nice Strat Ultra which I love but after changing up to 11's I need to understand how this system is adjusted.
It's my first Fender after being a Gibson freak for so long.

Guitar Armour is the worst idea I have ever heard of. Guitars are supposed to get stratched and batterd. It wears them in and gives each guitar its own personality/identification.
So don't waste your money on this crap idea. You would be much better off spending the money on the extremely cheap guitar strings also on this sight.

I'm not sure how long your message has been posted, but I've been searching on the web to find out more about the Epiphone G1275 I just acquired. Although it's the EDS clone, any interest? I don't have a case, but it's in good shape. To improve the action, it could use a little TLC on the set-up, but the appearance is great.

My Flying Vee

licensed floyd rose sucks?

i have the same problem with my fender which is fitted with a licsenced floyd rose. the problem with the cheaper ones is that the knife edges gets worn much quicker, because of the softer and much cheaper material.
it is really important, to never change string height, when the strings are on, as it will result in that the pivot studs cut into the metal.
you can check if the screws or knife edges are worn.
just take of all the strings and the springs on the back of the guitar, and carefully remove the tremolo.
look at the knife edges where the tremoloplate meets the studs.
if its worn, you can try to file on the edges, until it gets smooth. you should also replace the pivot studs with new ones.
that should solve the problem, at least for a while.
but remember to never change string height with the strings on!

if you have a liscensed floyd rose trem, you dont have the real thing. liscensed means liscensed copy, which means inferior quality in comparison to the real deal. copys are always made with metal that is a good bit softer than the real thing. if you want the real this, it is called "original floyd rose", not "liscensed floyd rose" got the original, have it put in and you'll the difference i guarantee:-) originals rock!!!!
