A Message from BO DIDDLEY
In common with many other people, BO DIDDLEY and his family have been deeply upset by the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania on Tuesday September 11th 2001, and the subsequent crisis that has ensued both in America and around the world in the weeks since the attacks took place.
In light of these tragedies, BO DIDDLEY has asked that his fans, radio deejays and other people working in the media should play and listen closely once more to the lyrics to a song that he recorded in 1989 titled "Wake Up America", a track that can be be found on his "Breakin' Through The BS" CD released on Triple X Records 51017-2.
In the past 20 years or so, BO DIDDLEY has recorded and released a number of songs that reflect not only his love of the American nation and and its people but also his great concerns for the country's future stability and well-being. The songs "Ain't It Good To Be Free" and "Gotta Be A Change" are both good examples of his impassioned vocal concerns for his nation and its people. Both of these tracks are currently available on the CD "The Mighty Bo Diddley" released on Triple X Records 51161-2.
We hope that during this time of national crisis that BO DIDDLEY's fans, together with the nation's deejays and other people working in the media across America, will perhaps take the time to listen and to reacquaint themselves once again with the inspirational messages contained in some of these important, but perhaps lesser-played, songs that have been written and recorded by BO DIDDLEY.

MY NEW BAND
Greetings all,
My friends and I recently started a heavy metal band. The instrument I play is the triangle.
I was wondering:
Where can I find good triangle lessons? I don't want to pay for a private tutor.
What is the best make of triangle and what could I get for $3.
I'm going to hook up my triangle to a distortion pedal, are there many GOOD triangle distortion pedals?
What type of triangle do metallica use?
P.S.
Electric Xylophones KICK AXX! But I can't afford one.

Dude, I'm in the same situation......I was a great bass guitarist until I learned to play triangle. Now it's all I want to play!!!! I got my triangle by taking it from an elementary school band room (breaking the law breaking the law!) so you could look there first......keep practicing and if you get a good dist-pedal for your triangle post in here somewhere as to where you got it so we can start a new wave of triangle-based heavy metal!!!!!
p.s.- metallica probably uses a Fender triangle!
help!!!
i have a fender p bass, and i recently bought a leo quan badass bridge for my babe and it sounds a lot more thicker, but the problem is, the strings are WAYYYYYYYY too high..... i tried adjusting the neck, but it's still too high... is there anyway to fix that???
Re: help!!!
Did you remove the sub-plate that comes with this bridge? That will lower it quite a bit. If you didn't get one with it and it's still too high, then there are basically two options:
1. Shim the neck--you cna use a full pocket shim and have it tapered in the direction you need--usually this means tapered from the end of the pocket towards the bridge (i.e. thick to thin towards the body)
2. Have the pocket routed a little deeper to suit the height of the new bridge (I wouldn't try this unless you have the right tools and know-how.
Check out my web site at:
http://members.home.net/wilkatguitars/
for tips on repair and maintenance. I will add an article soon on shimming necks as this is a common problem run into. In the interim
you can read and follow the neck adjustment tip to see if that helps.
Good luck, Bill
Re: help!!!
Sorry if I confused you with the comment about having your neck pocket routed out. It's explained in my latest tip posted today on my site:
http://member.home.net/wilkatguitars/
Just click on the Guitar Tips box and choose the Neck shim article.
Later, Bill

Re: help!!!
I just got a BA-I too and think I've got a more elegant solution than shimming the neck pocket. Seems to me that since the BA-I is designed to have string slots machined to fit the bass and strings to be retrofitted that it should be a simple matter of making these slots deep enough to compensate for the height difference, compared to a Fender stock bridge (or BA-II). I measure 3/16". What have I missed, Bill?
