Re: gutars
I think i'm gonna have to agree with jethro here. for the money Ibanez makes some of the best guitars out there. if you want something else look at some of the new yamaha electrics they're nice, cheep, and good for learning. but remember yamaha makes motorcycles and jetskis, believe me they don't know everything
Re: gutars
I really need a gutar right know , if I dount play one soon i go nuts i have never gone this long without playing . I wish dumasss people would give me back my old gutar.
Re: gutars
: does any body have a good electric gutar

my $700 ibanez kicks the shit outta my $3000 les paul custom
no shit dudes....my RG520qs(wizard neck/floyd rose)kicks THE LIVING HELL outta my new zakk wylde custom-amazing-oh the paul's nice-sounds REAL mean with those EMG's-but if i wanna figure something new out-or start wailin' on my poor strings and fretboard anything like 'ole zakky boy does on (some:) of his recordings-i'm pickin' up the ibanez no question about it- i thought the "gibson les paul" was supposed to be the best thing around-not to mention one from the custom shop-maybe mine's an imposter!!!!
Re: my $700 ibanez kicks the shit outta my $3000 les paul custom
les pauls are crap, and so is your ibanez. you are probably crap and all of your family and friends are sure to be crap , at work, and all of the hobbies they do. love Bob

celestion vintage 30
Are these type of celestions ideal in playing heavy music or is there a better celestion out there that would suit my needs better.Somebody please ease my mind.............
Re: celestion vintage 30
these work for just about anything. I'd go with either the vintage 30 or the celestion greenbacks (like Steve Vai uses). you're headed in the right direction.
Domino guitar
I bought a domino californian off of ebay. Everybody says that japanese guitars are cheap imitations but it seems to be a nicely made instrument. Is there anyone that has a similar guitar and has a similar opinion about it?
DOMINO CALIFORNIAN
: I've long wanted a Domino Californian...lucky guy you are. 60's Japanese guitars can be great, and exude tons more mojo than their rather traditional and staid American counterparts. Don't listen to those weasels who shun cheesy 6-strings because they're too insecure to be an individual...those instruments have their place and can be great, but their not the only game in town.
Re: DOMINO CALIFORNIAN
I agree with motorhed, ..lots of mojo. I got one years ago at a thrift store, sunburst with an ugly wood grain (think 60's station wagon trim) pick guard and switches in the way of your strumming. I spray painted the pick guard metallic green so I could bear to look at the guitar. Anyway the guitar has a HUUGE , I mean gigantic sound, big bass and a cavernous natural reverb! I can't really explain it. I try to play it with only the treble switch in the "on" position to
manage the hugeness of the sound. The short scale neck
is good quality and very playable. Mine is missing some original knobs and bridge parts, but it's a good little axe. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share.
tab needed peaceful easy feeling
can anyone help, im after the opening riff for peaceful easy feeling by the eagles ?
Phantom Bass
I'm after buying a Phantom bass. I know that these are made by an American company called Phantom Guitars, but I was wondering if any one knows of any music shops in England that import them?
Also I thinking about buying a Zoom BFX 708 pedal. Does any one know what these are like? Are they worth the money or not?
Cheers,
Bazza

Value of an Old Ovation Applause
Does anyone have any idea how much an Ovation Applause 6-string non-electric acoustic made in 1978 is worth? The model number is AA14-1 and it's made in USA. Mint condition. Ovation could tell me the age based on the serial number but said their files did not go back far enough to be able to provide me with any other information or specs. Thanks!

converting tablature to sheet music
All I can ever find on the web is tabs, tabs, and more tabs...does anyone know if there's a site out there that translates tabs to regular sheet music? If so, please email me, or reply, or something...thank you!
Re: converting tablature to sheet music
Tab would really have to be "translated" to standard notation by human. Tabs don't have a strict rhythm to the notes; there's no time sinature (on the ones I've seen). So that's the key element that holds it back. It would also take a lot of time and effort to write the standard notation percisely. Tab only has to have the right notes inaccurately placed on the strings. Standard notation has to be totally grammatically correct.
Re: converting tablature to sheet music
Maybe we can arrange a deal...What Tabs do you need translated? I can help...but I need the info

I need ome guitar advice
i currently own a Ibanez gio(yes i know) it was my first guitar, wich was bought without too much thought put in to it. Don't get me wrong it was good for beginners but I'm past that point now and I need a step up in quality. Here is where I need advice. I'm going to a used guitar shop and I happened to come across a PRS that had a tag for 350. To play it safe i got all the info on it and the guy at the register told me its a copy tht dons music city got sued for. It's a korean made guitar, and he also told me it was originally 1000 bucks. has any never heard of this guitar?

fret buzz on the open and the eighth/seven fret
i adjusted the truss rod trying to stop the buzz that i had but now it's two times worse:(. (somebody told me to do that, and i listened to them...maybe i just didn't carry it out right) if anybody can help me pleeze tell me how!! i don't care if the guitar turns out perfect, i just want it to be as good as it was before i started screwing around with it. thanks!!
Re: fret buzz on the open and the eighth/seven fret
if your neck bows in at the middle, then you need to tighten the truss rod. make sure that bridge height is good to, check your nut
