They weren't expensive guitars, but I had one as a teen and traded it off. I regret it because my Mom's name was Norma and she's passed away now. Wish I had it back.

I will buy any Diaon accoustic guitar for sale at a resonable price. Some Diaons have the bridge pulling up on them but I will buy them regardless of the condition they are in. Plase call me if you have a Diaon for sale.

I bought one, in the earlies 80's, in the USA, it is a Stratocaster Clone, in silverburst.
Since I still have this little baby, I'd like to know a little more about this.

I have the same problem, I bought my acustic guitar in Bali, indonesia. I have never heard about the brand palmer, but I know that it is a korean brand, and they said in the music shop that you could compare it with yamaha.

Hi sounds cool for speed metal :) It would be my guess it`s the volume pot .Somtimes they shit the bed should be easy fix for repair man if you live in NH lustone.com great boogie man.good luck

Hi my blue book is 2 years old so factor that in prices have gone up sharply. $1250.oo mint $750 at 60% conditon my feeling is it`s worth more this book low balls a bit it`s for music stores to screw you with sad but true.good luck!!!!!

Thanks for that info Rob, it's much appreciated. I plan to put this one on ebay eventually, and use the proceeds to buy a SG Standard..(long time wish!). At least now I have some idea of it's approximate value.

i'm looking for a 22 fret maple neck for my bc rich.
i dont care which way the headstock goes . i would like a U.S.A. neck only!!
i dont care about the tuning keys and stuff, i just want a neck thats in good shape so i can go through it.

For all of those posting messages. Sorry, but no one here is going to give you answers to where it came from or who did it. Neither are they going to give you apporximate worth or value of the instrument. Look down the posts. No one answers. If you want to identify it then go to the manufacturer.

Here follows a brief Timeline.

1265 Juan Gil of Zamora mentions the early guitar in "Ars Musica.

1283-1350 Guitarra Latina & Guitar Moresca are mentioned multiple times in the poems of the Archpriest of Hita

1306 A "gitarer" was played at the Feast of Westminster in England

1404 "Der mynnen regein" by Eberhard Von Cersne makes reference to a "quinterne."

1487 Johannes Tinctoris described the guitarra as being invented by the Catalans. This refers to the four course guitar. Each course represents one pair of double strings.

1546 "Tres Libros de Musica en Cifras para Vihuela" by Alonso Mudarra is the first publication to include music for guitar.

1551-1555 Nine books of tablature were published by Adrian Le Roy. These include the first pieces for 5 course guitar. The addition of the fifth course was attributed to Vicente Espinel

1600-1650 Many publications of tablature for the guitar. It's popularity begins to rival the lute.

1674 Publication of "Guitarre Royal" by F. Corbetta increased the guitar's popularity. It was dedicated to Louis XIV.

1770-1800 A sixth string was added to the guitar and the courses were replaced by single strings.

1800-1850 Guitar enjoyed a large popularity both in performances and publishing. Fernando Sor, Mauro Guiliani, Matteo Carcassi and Dioniso Aguado all performed, taught, wrote and had published their compositions.

1850-1892 Guitar maker Manual Torres develops the larger more resonant instrument we know today.

1916 Segovia performs at Ateneo, the most important concert hall in Madrid. Before this it was thought that the guitar did not have the volume for this type of venue.

1946 Nylon replaces gut as a string material
