battery location for strat style guitar

I am building a strat style guitar with preamp; does anybody have ideas on best location to route cavity for the battery box? I've heard of them placed on underside of the pickguard, but pulling it up everytime to change a battery is not all that appealing.

clean tone on preferably a fender or fender sounding amp. maybe a little reverb and or tremolo pedal

i have a 12-string bought in 1969. quality wood and finish. quality inlays, etc. but shitty construction and sound. the bridge is giving way, and is in need of reinforcing. how do i do that? thanks for the posting. good luck, jim in mississippi usa

I bought a Voston six string in 1966. Excellent construction and quality. Still have it but it has a broken brace and the action needs to be adjusted, but other than that it's been an excellent guitar.

Look,dude.For $50.00 get a Smash-Box.It is beautifuly E.Q.'d all notes in big chords rig out.Even on the G and D strings.
It has one flaw,it's a little frail.So,keep it CLEAN and try not to knock it around too much.Put it away when not in use.
DS-1's are o.k. but they're not as open sounding as the SM-7.
Pods are cool,but they're too difficult to use live.And if you break it,you're in a world of shit! At it's price the SM-7 is disposable.
So far the only(less $100)pedal that out does it,is the Rampage by Rocktron.Which is more flexible.
Good Luck
P.S.Make sure you invest in a decent amp though.

I have the DOD grunge distortion pedal, and that thing rocks. My friend has a boss overdrive pedal adn the grunge pedal can replicate that boss pedals sound to the tee at about the 2nd out of 7 levels of distortion (meaning you can make this sound pretty damn distorted) I dont care what others say bad about this pedal cause chances are if their bad mouthing it that means they havent really tried it cause this things beast!

had a really nice pro set up on it and it plays like a dream.
I have .jpg photos if anyone wants to see it, but my question is
how can I date it ? The serial no is model B 407.
Any of you guys over in the States help me on this?
Also with the guitar were some photos of the guy who owned it and one picture is taken in 1937.

Those guitars are plentiful and though not worth much, if you like it keep it around and enjoy it.

I have one also; had it since I was 12 years old (now almost 60. It sounds as good today as it did then. I'm not sure how to date it; I search the web from time to time trying to answer that question.
