What is the type of stamp that this guitar should have on the back of the string head ? Can it be a number only or have any other information ?
Does the back cover needs to be a one part or can be two halves ?

Usually, it's the first and fifth numbers that designate the year, but that would mean yours is a 1912 model.........LMAO

Call Gibson, they can track the serial number for you, and tell you the age. I'd guess it's probably from the 70's, and a one-off model that got shipped out by accident. That happened alot. Can you describe the guitar for me?

I have a true tone as well, just purchased it, the serial number on it is L6611... VERY CLOSE TO YOUR NUMBER, if you find out any information AT ALL on this guitar, because I know nothing... pleeease email me! Thank you!

Scratches are a part of an electric guitar, I wouldn't worry about them. If it's a custom job, with a specially done paint job, you can contact the company that did the paint, they may do a touchup for you. Otherwise, forget about them. A guitar that isn't scratched somewhere isn't a guitar, it's a decoration.

Legacy tube amp problem

The amp will play fine for about 15 minutes. At which time the "power/balls" of the amp begins to fade in and out. I have replaced all preamp and power tubes but nothing has changed. Any input?

Yeah, he mentioned in a Guitar Player magazine sometime in 1990 that he played mostly a green quilted Tele on "This Charming Man" (though many mistake it for a Ricky and on "That Joke" was probably a Martin D-12-28. "Back to the Old House" (on Hatful of Hollow) was probably done on a Martin D-28.

hi

i need wiring-schematics for an unwired emg SA-pickup-set, which i have bought on ebay.
There are three pots....i think a volume pot (without anything) a tone pot (with a capacitor) and a pot with some electronic (what could that be? perhaps an EQ?) on it. But i´m not really sure how to handle that.
Perhaps someone can tell me, where i can find a schematic or someone could send one via email.

Marshall AVT 150

anybody got the Marshall AVT 150 out there? read a lot of good reviews and it sounds like it gets pretty close to the tube sound even though its a Hybrid amp. also thinking of getting it with the AVT112 extension cab to make up a mini stack and get the power up to 150 watts. interested to hear from anybody thats got it at the moment and what they think.

I have a JCM 800 bought new in 1987... the tubes have never been changed.... Do they need upgraded.???.. the tubes are el-34's

I've purchased a 00 looking guitar that is quit nice
playing and sounding. The G string is in tune no matter what chord you hold.The rosewood back and sides
look authentic but some dummy tried to take the label
off inside the guitar and therefor the model # is missing.Can you help me? The seriel # is 73081698.

Can I use the pitch shifter on the RP200 to make a guitar sound in a lower tuning?
like drop it to c c# tunings etc ?
I'm not sure how the effect works, cuz I don't have the pedal yet interested in buying it, and this would convince me.
If you can make the effect level all the way, meaning get only the wet signal and none dry.
From what I read about the rp200 it could do the job, but…
Anyone that has the pedal? and knows if it's possible?
