k i bought a new electric guitar it has a whammy bar but i dont know how to use it and wat to do to make it work or watever well if anyone could help id appreciate it. It screws in fine but i dont know what im supposed to do with it to make the sounds n stuff. thankssssssss

I found this gibson that looks like a LP special or junior, except one weird thing. It is strung through the body. Not just strung through but the holes are at an angle to the bridge. If any one has any info on this guitar I would be grateful.. thanks

Sambora +12 dB mid boost

I'm searching for the schematic of Richie's mid boost circuit! I can find one for the clapton boost, but not for richie's! Would be glad bout your information! thanks!

The current Sambora strat doesnt use a PCB assembly - it uses an inductor to give the 12db boost. The older model sambora strat DID use a PCB, and it was a modified Clapton circuit.

I have a good schematic of the Clapton PCB and would be happy to share it with you and give instructions on have to wire your strat like a older Sambora.

Tremelo Just Snapped + Stuck Inside :-S

I just got my very first guitar today ,, i was having fun learning to play ,, and i thought ,., hmm i wonder what this does ,, well i put the tremelo thingy inside ,, but the fucker got stuck ,, i tried to get it out and now its snapped , leaving me with a horrible vibrating guitar ,, and i cant get the piece out ,, is there anything i could do ? try to get this piece out ,, or to stop my guitar vibrating the strings ,, and to return to normal ? or am i fucked

yea ive got it stuck ,, it snapped off ,, stupid fucking thing lol .. now i cant get it out ,, ive screwed off the back n things ,, my strings are fine now ,, i jus want the piece of metal out > anyone had this problem before and know the solution ?

Basically, you drill a hole, then reverse-thread the new hole. Drill a screw into it, and as you tighten the new screw, the old piece of metal backs out.

Any hardware store will have the kit.

truss rod instalation

im putting an acustic together and dont know witch direction the truss should go. the rod is u shaped (square with one missing side. does the open side go into the groove facing up towards the fret board or down towards the back of the neck?

I have a Kay guitar.. lack Kkay in circle on black head, chrome pick ups, dark brown into light in middle... built in effects on a black plastic plate include..(Phase, Effects Echo Tremolo, Wah, Whirl Wind and fuzz) volume Tone Speed knobs. it has headphone and amp and also the words patent pending... any ideas

Franciscan Model 590

I have a few guitars I wondered what the going price is on them. 1. Ibanez Artist 1984 model I think it is antique violin finish with gold hardware, it is in great shape.
2. Fender strat 1986 usa made with lace pickups and locking machinehead. It's kinda of a blueish purple colour and is like new in condiditon. Rosewood fret board too.

No idea on price, it'll all be dependent on the condition and market.

The Lace pickups in your '86 aren't original, as those didn't come out until the early 90's in Strats. They had an earlier version, for a year or two, that used three pushbuttons rather than a 5-way switch. The pickus were "scalloped" near the mounting screws, rather than flat all the way across, and weren't Lace pickups. Those were used as late as '87.

What Guitar Does Tom Delonge use now. In a video of blink 182 playing live in Japan this month or the las month, tom was using a brown (with a white strip) kind of Gibson 335 shape. It sounded pretty alright. So does anyone know what make it is.

The new Tom DeLonge Signature Gibson is a classic semi-hollowbody design. The idea was taken from the Gibson ES 333. The tenative name for this guitar is the TD 333. This guitar has one Gibson 'Dirty Fingers' exposed-coil humbucker and one volume control and standard jack. This guitar comes in brown with cream stripes. i don't know but I play in a hardcore band and i bought the delong strat and it was the smartest thing i ever did. i ripped out the duncan invaders in it and threw in some EMG 81's. I run it threw a Morley (Bad Horsie 2)wah, Metal Zone(distortion/Boss), Flanger(Boss), and a chorus(Danelectro/18v). And this guitar will kill on any amp.

Its a gibson, buy the new total guitar magazine, and check it out. worth the money

It's his new signature model. He stopped his contract at fender and now he has a contract with gibson. I think it's just a model that already exists, but he just putted the white line on it... I don't like this one, i liked his stratocaster better, I LOVED HIS STRATOCASTER

It's basically a Gibson ES-335 except it only has a bridge pickup, and it only has one volume, and it has a matte brown finish w/ light tan racing stripes up the middle. This guitar is not available to the public :(
