Neck relief on 57 Strat

Would anyone have any thoughts about the following:

I have a "57 reissue Strat, and the neck relief is different on each side of
the neck when I sight down it.
That is, there is a decent amount of relief on the left side (low "E"), and
no relief at all on the right side
high "E").

In other words - there is a lot more relief under the heavier gauge strings
than under the lighter gauge strings.

Its a warlock/Goth style if you follow, red, 2 humbuckers, 6 string . . . very confused as to its value or design.

Fender Showmaster

Hey. I currently have a Vintage Raider of the Metal Axxe series, and I was thinkin of saving for a Fender Showmaster. I checked the scratchplate on current guitar and its covered with scratches. The Showmaster doesnt have one - will this not, in time, just scrape away at the finish and make it look shitty?

Please Help with curling Pickguard

Does anyone know how to get a curling or bowed pickguard to lay flat again. I've tried putting it under hot water with a weight on it. Ironing it, Putting it under my truck tire for a day. It just won't stay flat. Who's a genius?

Can anybody give me an opinion about the playing difference between a ES 335 dot and an ES 335 TDC. I have played the TDC but not the later built Dot. I am looking for an early model 70's TDC and have been finding alot of dot's.

Depends on your musical tastes. Personally I'd go for the L.P. It will have a more rounded powerful sound.

although it does depend on your musical tastes and what sound your looking for (ie guitars are a very personal thing). i disagree. i, myself would go for a fender(strat) over a les paul not only for the sound but more so for the feel. a basic run down - les pauls sound very fat and warm (even on the treble pick up, which can be bad sometimes) excellent for most styles.although they sound great, to me they are very heavy and uncomfortably bulky compared to a strat. a strat in alot thinner, easier to play and a different sound. the neck pickup is beautiful and warm sounding and the bridge (treble) pickup is alot more trebly than a les paul (better for shred style solos) overall i do like a strat better for sound and feel. both guitars are great for rock, les to me are better for jazz than a strat but a strat is better for blues/country. both versatile instruments. you will find a strat more comfortable. the only thing with a strat is that most of them come with a single coil in the bridge (unlike a les paul) so when played with a heavy distortion using the treble pickup, it will feed back more than a les paul. you can fix this by changing it to a single coil sized humbucker (double coil). hope this helps your decision. ta

u cannot comapre a strat to a les paul its like comapring jhon lennon to steve vai, both were and one still is brilliant guitarist(s)but they are not in the same class, now back to the strat(which i presume u mean by saying fender because it is there biggest selling guitar) and less paul its all a matter of prefrence if you play blues, pink floydy stuff jimmi hendrix u want that lovely twang if you play long smooth soloes fast moving licks or most vintage rock(ac dc) so its all a mater of prefernce if you like all types like me get a good job. note: if you play heavy metal i would not invest in these guitars go for somthing more heavy but not a f*****G bc rich they suck ass they look like a childs drawing) so keep rockin or bluesing or twangin in anycase
