how to tune 12 string guitar

top 2 sets of strings are both tuned to an E. Fat string is tuned to your normal E note like a 6 string guitar. the other E string to tuned an octave higher like at the 12th fret. same goes for all the strings except for the bottom 2 sets of strings which are both tuned to the same pitch, not at different octaves.:
E
E 12th
A
A 12th
D
D 12th
G
G 12th
B
B
E
E

I have correctly tuned my G, but each time I tune G 12th the string breake - any ideas? Have tried both 0.014 & 0.010

Hi: I bought a used 1986 HD28 Martin - inside label reads BRAZIL HD-28 463089 It is in mint condition,with Brazilian rosewood back and sides, spruce top, Martin tuners, etc. I could not acquire any info about this unit from Martin - can anyone tell me how to get it's history and appr. value with hardshell case.

I have been looking on EBay, guitar stores, in pawn shops, at guitar shows and on internet for about 3 years (off and on) and have not even seen one.

i bought myself a beautiful black finish robelli in december and the more i pick it up the more i love it.for a guitar made in korea the workmanship is really remarkable.the tone unplugged is terrific , plugged into my fender bassman 60 it has a very unique rickenbacker sound.but it's got spectrum plus when you mess with it.it's a great buy at a reasonable cost.

restringing aguitar

First time ..I would take my guitar to my local guitar shop. Most any reputible shop will be glad to sell you correct gauge string and put it on for you. Watch what they do. They can show you how to string your guitar correctly. You can learn from them. Next time you can do it yourself. Good Luck!

hey ok i have a prob which hurts ya ears lol. ok i have a sold state amp (marshal) a dod multi fx pedal and a boss 7 band EQ. i got all that because i wnat 2 get rid of the high end. not the high end that sounds gd but the type that makes u turn away from the amp because any notes past the 3rd fret on the E string makes your ears bleed. can any 1 help in any way. just settings on the EQ pedal anything. if u do have any ways of helping email me at [email protected]

WHICH PICKUPS?

i have a jackson js30. i have just got sum cash to buy some new pickups. i don't want to get a different guitar as i really like my jackson, i just want a more powerful sound. i play mostly rock, although i like other stuff too.
