Re: GIBSON SG???
: I have an Epiphone SG Special that is Vintage red. I bought it for $270.00 almost new at a pawn shop. It payed nice, there was nothing wrong with it and it wasn't even scratched.
Well I bought it a few months ago and I want to sell it. How much would I sell it for, or should I sell it for? I'm thinking about selling it to a pawn shop. How much do you think they'd buy it for? Thanx.

Missing the count of timing
I play guitar and when i sing some of the songs i fail to start at the wrong timing. What could be the best exercise to improve this very humiliating mistake.
Re: Missing the count of timing

Get yourself a metronome.
Practice as well. Some songs do have hard timings, and playing your guitar and singing at the same time is a skill that needs learning - like coordinating your feet and hands when you learn to drive.
Practice + Metronome = cure!!!

floyd rose tremlo
hi,,my name is dan and a friend of mines guitar was left at my house.he has a floyd rose tremolo (sp?),,,i was messing around on it,,i had no real idea how to tune it,,like i thought i did,,,but to make this short,,,,the high e string broke and the bridge has basically collapsed,,,as if i were constantly holding it down,,,its just stuck there,,i tryed to fix it every way i could think of...he doesnt know this happened,,,and i'd like to fix it before he does,,what can be done to fix it,,,,,? please help
Re: floyd rose tremlo
Hello Dan,
Don't panic. The floyd rose is a floating bridge which means the strings act as a counter tension to the spring which make the bridge return to the original position. Think of it this way.. if the springs have 5lb pressure, the strings will need 5lb pressure to keep it stable/level. If you break a string and the counter pressure drops to say 3lb the springs will have a stronger pull making the bridge lay back into the body. Best thing to do is release the locking nut at the headstock and replace the string. I find it useful to have the bridge micro tuners wound up to a fairly loose postion which provides ample room to retune the strings once the locking nut has been retightened. Replace the broken string (i would recommend replacing them all with the same gauge as is on there) and retune the guitar as per normal. Tighten the locking nut and then fine tune with the tremelo micro tuners. On rare occasions the tremelo can get stuck back in the body, if this happens just press down on the tremlo arm until release from the body. This should be done before tightening the locking nut. Hope this makes sense. Good luck..
Re: floyd rose tremlo
hey its no biggy, the floyd rose is spring loaded. when u broke the string the bridge collapsed because all the force from the E string was lost. hold the bridge level with the guit by putting like a... sock underneith it then put in a new E string, mess tighten or losen the springs in the back of the guitar and its good as new.

Newbie Amp Question
hey i've only recently picked up the electric guitar after a few years of playing acoustic so im new to the world of electric guitar....i bought a ventura vintage 30 amp for pretty cheap and it has a killer overdrive feature which sounds awesome...but when you play clean and pluck the low e string with any kind of force it makes a poping like noice...not a major pop...but its noticable...it only does it on the low e....anyone have any solution?
Re: Newbie Amp Question
might be that the pickup is too close to the strings, and it bumping it.. or just too close to pickup the string clearly. to check it, adjust the pickup on the top, using the screw on the top of the pickup. it should lower the pickup into the body a little bit.
see if that helps it.

Re: Gibson flattop guitar
Gibson # Z 21682: Probably not a serial number, but a factory order number, periodically used by Gibson. I believe your guitar belongs to the Z-Q system, which occured between 1952 and 1961. In this numbering system any instrument carrying letter Z means built 1952.
what kind of presets does metallica use ont their amps
does anyone know wut kind of presetslike(bass, treble, mid, gain) and stuff like that on their guitar amps? if so please reply to my email or here thanx
Alex
Re: what kind of presets does metallica use ont their amps
When you wannt the "Justice Sound" you Haver to pull the bass poti to 7-8 the mids really low between 1-3 and the high from 6-8 the presence is so that you can hear your amp so that there are no scratches, only a deep and powerfull sound! whith an Line 6 pod2.0 it sound like Metallica! I have a Dual rectifier Solo Head, so My sound is like Metallica`s but the Pod is a great alternative!!!
So god Luck, and a Lot of Fun!!!
WFG, Ben!

Can Anyone Tell Me? Bigsby/Epiphone
I was given a "parting of the ways" gift so to speak of a guitar that my ex fiance purchased on a trip we took last year. I have no idea what it is worth, or when it was made, but need to know if it is something I put in storage or store in the house so to speak! I do not play and do not know much about guitars ( guess that is obvious) it has a Pat. No that starts with the letter "d" and has flames and dice on it. I know it is not very new. He collected flame guitars and loved this one... Your help would be appreciated.

Sick Trigger S/T
Sick Trigger is a band that's really earning a good reputation in the states and is ready to conquer Europe. The quintet is a hard edged metal band that cross somewhere between Iron Maiden and Alice in Chains. Richi Onori Three Wishes
Richie Onori is a musician's musician. As a world-class drummer he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in rock. After all, when the likes of Keith Emerson, Robbie Kreiger, Larry Graham, Rick Derringer and Richie Sambora give nod, then it can be safely said that Richie is a talented and valuable commodity. With his band Heaven & Earth (along with band-mates Stuart Smith, Kelly Keeling, and Arlan Schierbaum) he wowed the critics with their Frontier Records release and can boast an impressive worldwide fan-base.
Richie is another good example of a top rated drummer successfully making the transition to front man, as did Phil Collins, Don Henley, and Dave Grohl. He consummately translated his mastery of rhythm and his musical discipline to guitar and vocals, rounding out his skills on harmonica and percussion.
Three Wishes is Richie Onori's debut solo album, a canvas of organic classic rock painted with whiskey soaked vocals and melodies brushed with southern comfort. From rockers like We're the USA to his Dylan-esque ballads such as Raining in Hollywood, Richie takes lyrics that knock on the door of your conscience and frames them in lavish arrangements that breathe Americana.
With song styles reminiscent of Lynyrd Skynyrd and John Mellencamp, Richie creates music with a life and sound of his own through solid grooves, skilled songwriting and master musicianship. Joining Richie on Three Wishes are some of the finest players in music today and include:
Kelly Keeling
(Dokken, MSG, King Kobra, Alice Cooper, Blue Murder)
Mark Meadows
(John Waite, Meredith Brooks, Dweezil Zappa, Lisa Loeb)
Will McGregor
(Dave Pack, Terrence Trent Darby, Tori Amos)
Ben Schultz
(Jon Butcher Axis)
Chris Mostert
(Glenn Frey, John Stewart)
Bill Lamb
(Rod Stewart, Sister Sledge, Tower of Power)
John B. Williams
(Randy Brecker, Michael Brecker, Nancy Wilson)
