Remove guitar track from CD recording

Is there a way to remove the guitar track from CD recordings. I seen software that will remove the vocals from a recording but would like to make songs to jam with. Thanks.

There is a lot of problem with this. Maybe you can find a comp. program that analyses the freq.range of the guitar and then removes it.
What i do know is that when you take away the vocals from an stereo recording, you simply invert one of the channels and then add them together. It is really easy to do.
All you need is an op-amp and 3 resistors. When you trie to remove the guitar you will find that guitars are useally pan. to thr left or right, making it very hard to "filter" away.
