Kay Force3 acoustic

Hi,

I just bought a Kay Force3 acoustic guitar. It's 95% plastic, solid spruce(?) top and wood fretboard, all else plastic. Only markings on the guitar are on back (a circle with a fancy "K" and the letters K A Y inside it), MADE IN USA, PATENTS PENDING and Steel Reinforced Neck. On the pickguard are two small bird images (like the Seagull brand logo), a fancy "FORCE3" logo, then under that the fancy K in a circle (Kay guitars brand logo, I suppose), an American flag, and then a couple of other tiny squares.

The guitar is hideously ugly, but sounds like a Taylor.
The fellow I bought it from thought that it was made for the US Military during the Vietnam war, all plastic so it wouldn't warp in the tropical climate, etc. Does anyone have any information about this guitar? If so, could you please email me: . I would love to be able to tell the guitar's story.

Thanks!
