    hi i have a question i have a guitar and would like an info out there it has a tag inside the sound hole that reads; the fred gretsch mfg. co.
    guitar makers since 1883
    hauser model
    serial number 6001
    brooklyn, n.y.
    and on the back at the top on the neck it says
    made in the usa 108141
    any info, age, value, history, would be helpful thanks

      6001 is the model number. Check the back of the headstock for a serial number. I owned a 1969 example of one of these and miss it. They’re not super collectible – the electrics are the ones that bring the bucks.

      The serial number 6001 on the inside shows that your guitar was one of the first models made in 1953. Can’t help you with the other nmatters
