The company you want is Circuitronix, they advertise in the guitar mags, and sell plans for effects. Also, there are some books with plans and kits, one source is Stewart MacDonald, also advertised in guitar mags.
Now – I have built some fuzz boxes, but I can tell you now, it is easier and cheaper to actually buy ready-made ones, if you shop around. In the long run, you have a lot fewer headaches, and I especially like the mult-effects like the Zoom.
